Randy Boothe

Randy Boothe

Randy Boothe served for five years as Executive Producer and Associate Dean in the College of Fine Arts and Communications at Brigham Young University. For 40 years, he has taught in the BYU School of Music as Artistic Director of the Young Ambassadors, leading tours to 44 countries. He worked as a theatrical consultant and show development team member for the EPCOT Center and the Magic Kingdom in California and Florida where he directed Disney’s All-American College Singers, Dancers and Show Band.

During the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Randy co-directed Light of the World with a cast of 1500 in 17 performances for audiences numbering over 300,000. For 34 years, Randy has music directed at Jackson Hole Playhouse. Under his direction, the Young Ambassadors Singing Entertainer Workshop for high school students has provided training for thousands of young performing artists.

Randy is in demand as an adjudicator for national show choir festivals and competitions and has lectured in Thailand, Morocco, Russia, China and in numerous universities and high schools across the United States. Randy has directed and produced recordings and television productions. His compositions and arrangements have been published, widely performed and recorded.

Many of his former students are now performing on Broadway, with National Touring Companies, in regional theatres, theme parks and cruise lines.

Randy is married to Susan Boothe and they are the parents of three children and nine grandchildren.

 

Korianne Johnson

Korianne Johnson

Korianne holds a BFA in Music Dance Theatre and an MM in Vocal Performance-Opera from Brigham Young University and has been teaching privately for 19 years, 16 of them at BYU. She is currently adjunct faculty at BYU and UVU in the Music Dance Theater Department. 

Korianne students have been featured leads on many stages all over the country such as Tuacahn, Sundance Theater, Playmill West Yellowstone, Carriage House Theatre in Canada, The Muny Theatre, Hale Theatre West Valley, Hale Theater Orem, National Tours, Off-Broadway and Broadway.  Her students also audition and participate in top choirs, vocal programs and musical theater programs at Brigham Young University, Utah Valley University, Weber State College, and University of Utah.

She is a sought after music director, working for the Hale Center Theater Orem, SCERA, Sundance Theatre; Playmill Theatre West Yellowstone, BYU, and UVU, music directing shows such as : Xanadu; Scarlet Pimpernel; Footloose; Tarzan, Lucky Stiff; Singin’ in the Rain; The Wonderettes; The Civil War; Cinderella; The Girl, the Grouch and the Goat; Suessical; Beauty and the Beast; Hello Dolly; The Fantasticks; South Pacific; Urinetown; Kiss Me Kate; My Fair Lady; Oklahoma!; All Shook Up; and The Beggar’s Opera.

Bailee Morris

Bailee Morris

A former Young Ambassador who does it all! Bailee has quickly become recognized as one of the top vocal instructors and one of the top headshot photographers in the area, especially when it comes to acting headshots. As a seasoned performer, she knows exactly how to capture the real you that directors want to see in a headshot. Currently you can see Bailee as Mae Tuck in Tuck Everlasting at the Hale Center Theatre in Sandy.

David Smith

David Smith

David graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Media Music where he studied contemporary voice. He also writes, orchestrates, arranges and records music for film and theater. Besides teaching voice, David also directs youth and adult theater at the Hale Center Theater Orem, as well as other venues around the state. Shae Robins

Shae Robins

As a former Young Ambassador Dance Captain, Shae just finished her third successful season at Tuacahn, performing in such roles as Sophie in Mamma Mia!, Snow White and Mary Poppins in Disney's When you Wish and Mercedes in The Count of Monte Cristo at BYU. Shae knows what it takes to make it in the performing world! Shae is truly a triple threat who will teach you the insider tips to stand out in professional dance call.

Taylor Morris

Taylor Morris

A former Young Ambassador president with years of experience on both side of the audition table, Taylor has performed in such roles as Prince Eric in HCT's Little Mermaid and as Mondego in the first U.S. production of The Count of Monte Cristo at BYU. Taylor will teach you how to prepare for an audition so you can confidently put your best foot forward through every step of the process.

Preston Taylor

Preston Taylor

From Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Preston Taylor is a junior studying Music Dance Theatre at BYU and is serving as the current Young Ambassador president.  Recent credits include Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Sundance, Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf in BYU’s Into the Woods, and Harold Hill in The Music Man. Preston was also recognized as the Top Male Actor and the #1 Tenor in the state of Oklahoma. This is Preston’s third year with the Young Ambassadors and he has now toured with the group to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Brazil. This summer you can see Preston as Jack in The HCT Sandy production of Newsies!  Preston will help teach you how to find that perfect audition cut and how to build your performance resume.
